Iran Warns U.S. Ground Invasion Would Lead to “Thousands Killed and Captured,” Says Ali Larijani

Tensions between Iran and the United States continue to escalate as a senior Iranian official issued a strong warning against any potential American ground invasion. Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said that if U.S. forces attempt to enter Iranian territory, they would face severe consequences.

In a message posted on the social platform X, Larijani reacted to statements reportedly made by some American officials about the possibility of deploying thousands of troops in a ground operation inside Iran.

“Some U.S. officials have said they intend to enter Iran with several thousand troops in a ground operation,” Larijani wrote.

He warned that Iranian forces are prepared to respond decisively. According to Larijani, Iran’s military and security forces are ready to defend the country and confront any foreign incursion.

“The brave sons of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei are waiting for you to disgrace those wicked American officials with thousands of killed and captured,” he added.

Larijani also used symbolic language to emphasize Iran’s determination, stating that “the land of Iran is not a place for the dance of the damned,” in a direct message addressed to U.S. officials.

His remarks come at a time of heightened geopolitical tension in the Middle East, where diplomatic strains and military confrontations have raised concerns among international observers. Analysts say that any large-scale military operation against Iran would carry significant risks due to the country’s size, military capabilities, and strategic alliances across the region.
