🏆 Miami Hurricanes stun No. 11 North Carolina 75-66, students storm the court

The Miami Hurricanes shocked No. 11 North Carolina on Tuesday night, dominating from start to finish in a stunning 75-66 win that sent thousands of students storming the court.
The Watsco Center was electric as Miami delivered its first win over a ranked opponent since 2024, marking a major statement in their ACC turnaround.

Head coach Jai Lucas praised the team’s resilience and identity, saying the Hurricanes stayed true to their style — attacking the paint, controlling rebounds, and applying constant pressure.

Miami had four players in double figures, including standout performances from:

  • Malik Reneau: 16 points, 10 rebounds

  • Ernest Udeh Jr.: 15 points, 10 rebounds

  • Tre Donaldson: 14 points, 5 assists

  • Shelton Henderson: 12 points, 2 steals

North Carolina struggled offensively, scoring only 26 points in the second half and shooting 1-of-14 from three. UM’s defense smothered star freshman Caleb Wilson, holding him to 12 points.

After the game, Hurricanes fans flooded the floor, waving flags and celebrating one of the team’s biggest wins in years.
With a 19-5 record, Miami now pushes deeper into the ACC race — and firmly into NCAA Tournament conversations.
