A new strike has been reported near Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, according to information shared with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iranian authorities informed the agency that a projectile landed in the vicinity of the facility. However, officials stated that the nuclear plant itself was not damaged and no injuries were reported among staff.
Earlier, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization confirmed the incident, emphasizing that operations at the plant remain stable and unaffected.
In response, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reiterated calls for restraint, warning that any escalation near nuclear facilities could pose serious safety risks. He stressed the importance of avoiding actions that could endanger critical infrastructure during ongoing tensions in the region.
The Bushehr facility is one of Iran’s key nuclear energy sites, making any nearby military activity a significant concern for international observers.
The situation continues to be closely monitored as tensions persist across the Middle East.
