U.S. Rejects Iran’s Claim of 100 Americans Killed in Dubai

The United States has strongly denied claims made by Iran that more than 100 American military or civilian personnel were killed in an attack in Dubai, describing the reports as false and misleading.

A spokesperson for the U.S. State Department said Wednesday that the allegations were “complete disinformation” and confirmed that no casualties were reported following a strike on a U.S. diplomatic facility in the United Arab Emirates.

“Any claim that Iran has killed 100 U.S. military or civilian personnel in Dubai is complete disinformation,” the spokesperson said. “No one was killed or injured by the strike on the U.S. Consulate in Dubai.”

Iran’s Claims of Casualties

Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that a wave of attacks targeting U.S. bases in Dubai had resulted in the deaths of more than 100 Americans.

However, U.S. officials rejected those statements and urged media organizations to verify information through official government sources before publishing such reports.

The State Department also called on the international community to condemn what it described as Iran’s “heinous and illegal attacks” against diplomatic facilities.

U.S. Assisting Americans in the UAE

Following the incident, the State Department said it had established emergency coordination measures to assist Americans currently in the United Arab Emirates.

Officials confirmed they are in direct contact with U.S. citizens seeking information and support and have begun organizing charter flights to help Americans leave the country if necessary.

The department has also activated a 24-hour crisis task force and regional support teams to ensure that Americans receive accurate updates and assistance.

Additionally, authorities have launched a crisis intake form for Americans in the UAE who require help with departure arrangements.

UAE Reports Casualties and Interceptions

While U.S. officials confirmed that no Americans were harmed, the United Arab Emirates reported casualties resulting from Iranian attacks since Saturday.

According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, three people were killed and 78 others injured during the strikes. Those killed included one Bangladeshi, one Pakistani, and one Nepali national.

The ministry also provided details on the scale of the attacks and the country’s air defense response.

On Wednesday alone, UAE air defenses intercepted three ballistic missiles and detected 129 drones. Of those drones, 121 were destroyed, while eight fell inside the country.

Since the beginning of the attacks, the UAE said it had detected 189 ballistic missiles. Of those, 175 were intercepted, 13 fell into the sea, and one landed on Emirati territory.

Authorities also reported that 941 Iranian drones had been launched toward the country. Air defenses intercepted 876 of them, while 65 drones fell inside the UAE.

In addition, eight cruise missiles were detected and successfully destroyed by defense systems.

Officials said that some of the interceptions caused limited collateral damage.

UAE Condemns the Attacks

The UAE government condemned the strikes, describing them as a violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law.

Officials also stated that the country reserves the right to respond to the attacks.

Analysis

The conflicting narratives between Iran and the United States highlight the growing information war surrounding the broader regional conflict. In modern conflicts, strategic messaging and propaganda can play a significant role in shaping public perception and international opinion.

While Iran appears to be presenting the attacks as a major success against U.S. forces, Washington is attempting to quickly counter what it calls misinformation in order to prevent panic and maintain credibility.

The situation also illustrates how regional escalation can quickly involve multiple countries, including Gulf states such as the UAE, which host foreign diplomatic missions and military facilities. As tensions continue to rise, accurate information and verification from multiple sources remain critical in understanding the true scope of events.
